Grilled Chicken Wings

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings (split and tips removed)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice or apple cider vinegar (for brightness)
  • Fresh chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Wings:
    • Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels.
    • In a large bowl, toss wings with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, cayenne (if using), and lemon juice or vinegar. Make sure they’re well coated.
  2. Marinate (Optional but Recommended):
    • Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for more flavor.
  3. Preheat Grill:
    • Heat grill to medium-high heat (around 375–400°F or 190–200°C).
    • Oil the grill grates lightly to prevent sticking.
  4. Grill the Wings:
    • Place wings on the grill in a single layer.
    • Grill for 20–25 minutes, turning every 5–7 minutes to ensure even cooking and crispy skin.
    • Internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
  5. Serve:
    • Transfer to a serving plate, sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired.
    • Serve with your favorite dipping sauce—ranch, blue cheese, or spicy buffalo!
