Ingredients
- 3 cups chopped Romaine lettuce (optional, traditional Greek salad uses no lettuce)
- 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 large cucumber, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- Β½ red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 cup Kalamata olives
- 1 cup feta cheese, cut into cubes or crumbled
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar or fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- In a large salad bowl, combine the tomatoes, cucumber, green pepper, red onion, and olives.
- Add the feta cheese on top.
- Drizzle with olive oil and red wine vinegar (or lemon juice).
- Sprinkle with oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Gently toss everything together until well combined.
- Serve immediately with fresh crusty bread, if desired.
