INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup water
- 1-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and sliced
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1 teaspoon honey (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a small saucepan, bring the water to a gentle boil.
- Add the sliced ginger and reduce the heat. Let it simmer for 5–10 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- Strain the tea into a cup, then stir in the lemon juice.
- Add honey if desired for a touch of sweetness.
- Drink warm, preferably first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.
