Gooey Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
  7. Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the edges are golden but the centers look slightly underbaked — this keeps them gooey!
  8. Let the cookies rest on the baking sheet for 2 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool slightly.
  9. Enjoy warm for maximum gooeyness!

If you’d like, I can help you adapt these for extra add-ins like nuts or caramel — just say so!
