Glazed Vanilla Bundt Cake Recipe

Ingredients:

For the cake:

  • 2 sticks (226 grams) unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups (250 grams) granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups (300 grams) all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (240 ml) milk

For the glaze:

  • 1 cup (200 grams) powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan.
  2. Cream butter and sugar: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla: Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, and mix until just combined.  
  5. Pour into pan: Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan.
  6. Bake: Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool: Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Make the glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  9. Glaze the cake: Once the cake is completely cool, drizzle the glaze over the top.
  10. Serve: Serve the glazed vanilla bundt cake as desired.
