Glazed Pork Steak

Ingredients

  • 2 pork steaks
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • 2 tbsp water (if using cornstarch)
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the marinade – In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt.
  2. Marinate the pork – Place the pork steaks in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Cover and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for more flavor).
  3. Cook the pork – Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the pork from the marinade, reserving the liquid. Sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  4. Make the glaze – Pour the reserved marinade into the skillet. Let it simmer and reduce for about 5 minutes. If you want a thicker glaze, mix cornstarch with water and stir it into the sauce.
  5. Coat and serve – Spoon the thickened glaze over the pork steaks, cooking for another minute until they are well coated.
  6. Garnish and enjoy – Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve hot with your favorite sides!
