Ingredients

For the Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk or heavy cream
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Combine wet ingredients: In another bowl, whisk the eggs, melted butter, sour cream, and vanilla extract.
  4. Mix the batter: Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Fold in the diced apples and nuts (if using).
