- ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter
- 1 cup (200g) sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ⅓ cup (40g) cocoa powder
- ½ cup (65g) all-purpose flour
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon baking powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 170°C (340°F) and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan or microwave. Let it cool slightly.
- In a bowl, mix melted butter and sugar until well combined.
- Add eggs one at a time and whisk well. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Sift in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder.
- Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
- Let brownies cool completely before cutting into squares.
