Government College University (GCU) in Lahore is getting ready to build a Miyawaki Garden on its main site to make it more attractive to people who care about the environment.
In a recent post on social media, GCU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Asghar Zaidi thanked Mehmet Celepoglu, the CEO of a well-known oil marketing business, for letting an 8 Kanal Miyawaki forest be built.
The unique Miyawaki method will be used to grow 11,000 plants in this yard, which is about 43,560 square feet in size.

Urban Forestry will also be a part of the project, which will include 1,000 grown plants.
The Vice-Chancellor talked about the good effects of the Miyawaki Garden, like how it could help reduce noise pollution and make the area around it better.
With just this one project, 12,000 new plants will be added to the main grounds, which is a huge number.
