Garlic Steak & Potato Foil Packets

INGREDENT

  • 1 ½ lbs sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 lb baby potatoes, halved or quartered
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme or rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Optional: grated Parmesan cheese (for garnish)
  • Foil sheets (heavy-duty preferred)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Grill or Oven:
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, or your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the Steak and Potatoes:
In a large bowl, combine steak cubes and baby potatoes. Drizzle with olive oil.
  3. Season Everything:
Add garlic, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and thyme (or rosemary). Toss well to coat everything evenly.
  4. Assemble the Foil Packets:
Cut 4 large sheets of heavy-duty foil. Divide the steak and potato mixture evenly among the sheets. Fold the sides of the foil up and seal the packets closed tightly.
  5. Cook the Packets:
    • On the Grill: Place packets on the grill and cook for 10–15 minutes per side (total 20–30 minutes), or until potatoes are tender and steak is cooked to your liking.
    • In the Oven: Bake foil packets for 25–30 minutes, or until everything is cooked through.
  6. Serve and Garnish:
Carefully open the foil packets (watch out for steam). Sprinkle with chopped parsley and optional grated Parmesan. Serve hot!
