Ingredients
- 1½ lbs sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 lb baby potatoes, halved or quartered if large
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning (or mix of thyme, oregano, basil)
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
- Optional: red pepper flakes, for a little heat
- Heavy-duty aluminum foil
Instructions
- Preheat & Prepare:
Preheat grill to medium-high heat (or preheat oven to 425°F / 220°C). - Make the Garlic Butter:
In a small bowl, mix melted butter, olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. - Toss Ingredients:
In a large bowl, combine steak cubes and potatoes. Pour the garlic butter mixture over them and toss to coat evenly. - Assemble Foil Packets:
Tear 4 large sheets of foil (about 12 inches long). Divide the steak and potato mixture evenly among the sheets. Fold the sides up and seal the packets tightly. - Grill or Bake:
- Grill: Place foil packets on the grill and cook for 12–15 minutes, flipping once halfway through.
- Oven: Place on a baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes until potatoes are fork-tender and steak is cooked to your liking.
- Serve:
Carefully open the foil packets (watch for steam). Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
