Garlic Parmesan Fried Lamb Chops

Ingredients

  • 4 lamb chops (about 1 inch thick)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the coating:
    • In a shallow dish, combine the flour, Parmesan cheese, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper.
    • Mix well.
  2. Coat the lamb chops:
    • Pat the lamb chops dry with paper towels.
    • Rub the minced garlic onto both sides of each chop.
    • Dredge each chop in the Parmesan-flour mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.
  3. Cook the lamb chops:
    • Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Once hot, add the coated lamb chops.
    • Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until the outside is golden brown and the chops are cooked to your desired doneness (medium-rare is recommended).
  4. Rest and serve:
    • Remove the chops from the pan and let them rest for 5 minutes.
    • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
    • Serve hot with your favorite sides.
