Garlic Parmesan Crusted Chicken Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (Panko or Italian-style work best)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter (optional, for extra crispiness)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare Coating Mixture:
In a shallow bowl, combine Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Prepare Egg Wash:
In another bowl, whisk together eggs and milk.
  4. Coat the Chicken:
Dip each chicken breast into the egg mixture, then press into the Parmesan-breadcrumb mix until well coated on all sides.
  5. Arrange on Baking Sheet:
Place coated chicken on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil or melted butter for a crispier finish (optional).
  6. Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).
  7. Serve:
Let rest for 5 minutes, then serve with a side of roasted vegetables, pasta, or salad.
