Garlic Herb Pull-Apart Rolls

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup warm milk (110°F)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil (for brushing)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together the warm milk, melted butter, and eggs. Slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until the dough begins to come together.
  2. Knead the Dough: Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5–7 minutes, or until the dough becomes smooth and elastic. If it’s too sticky, add a little more flour as needed.
  3. First Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1–1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.
  4. Form the Rolls: Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into small equal-sized balls (about 16–18 pieces). Arrange the dough balls in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, placing them close together.
  5. Prepare Garlic Herb Butter: In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, parsley, oregano, and garlic powder. Drizzle this garlic herb butter over the dough balls, ensuring each one is coated.
  6. Second Rise: Cover the baking dish with a towel and let the rolls rise for about 30–45 minutes, or until puffed up.
  7. Bake the Rolls: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the rolls for 18–22 minutes, or until they are golden brown on top.
  8. Finishing Touches: Optional: sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top of the rolls immediately after baking.
  9. Serve: Let the rolls cool slightly before serving. Enjoy the soft, buttery, and garlicky pull-apart goodness!
