Garlic Butter Steak Bites with Parmesan Cream Sauce

Ingredients

For the Steak Bites:

  • 1.5 lbs sirloin steak (or ribeye), cut into 1-inch cubes
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme or rosemary (optional, for garnish)

For the Parmesan Cream Sauce:

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional, for a kick)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Steak:
    • Season steak cubes with salt and pepper.
    • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil until hot.
    • Add steak bites in a single layer (work in batches to avoid overcrowding). Sear for 2-3 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked to your liking.
    • During the last minute of cooking, add 2 tbsp butter and minced garlic. Toss to coat. Remove steak from skillet and set aside.
  2. Make the Parmesan Cream Sauce:
    • In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add 1 tbsp butter and minced garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
    • Pour in the heavy cream, stirring constantly. Bring to a gentle simmer.
    • Stir in Parmesan cheese and season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes if using.
    • Cook for 2–3 minutes until thickened to your desired consistency.
  3. Combine & Serve:
    • Return steak bites to the pan and spoon sauce over them. Heat through for 1-2 minutes.
    • Garnish with fresh thyme or rosemary if desired.
    • Serve hot with mashed potatoes, pasta, or crusty bread.
