Garlic Butter Seafood Boil Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds small red potatoes, halved
  • 4 ears of corn, husked and cut into thirds
  • 1 pound andouille sausage, cut into rounds
  • 2 pounds shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound crab legs
  • 1 pound mussels, scrubbed and debearded
  • 1 pound clams, scrubbed
  • 1 lemon, cut into wedges 1
  • 1 bunch fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Seafood Boil:
    • In a large pot, combine potatoes, corn, sausage, shrimp, crab legs, mussels, and clams.
    • Add enough water to cover the seafood and vegetables.
    • Add lemon wedges, parsley, Old Bay seasoning, cayenne pepper, and black pepper.
    • Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until the seafood is cooked through, about 10-15 minutes.
  2. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:
    • In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
    • Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
    • Stir in the remaining Old Bay seasoning, cayenne pepper, and black pepper.
  3. Serve:
    • Drain the seafood boil and transfer to a large bowl or platter.
    • Drizzle the garlic butter sauce over the seafood and vegetables.
    • Serve immediately with additional lemon wedges and crusty bread for dipping.
