GARLIC BUTTER SEAFOOD BOIL

Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 lb crab legs (king or snow crab)
  • 1 lb mussels or clams, cleaned
  • 1 lb lobster tails, split in half
  • 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
  • 4 ears corn, cut into halves
  • 1 lb baby potatoes
  • 1 lemon, quartered
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Melted butter, for dipping

Instructions

  1. Boil the Vegetables & Sausage:
    • Fill a large stockpot with water and bring to a boil.
    • Add the baby potatoes and cook for about 10 minutes.
    • Add the corn and sausage slices, cooking for another 5 minutes.
  2. Cook the Seafood:
    • Add the crab legs, lobster tails, and mussels/clams.
    • After 5 minutes, add the shrimp and cook until pink, about 3 minutes.
    • Drain the seafood and vegetable mixture and set aside.
  3. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:
    • In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat.
    • Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
    • Stir in Old Bay, Cajun seasoning, paprika, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  4. Combine Everything:
    • Pour the garlic butter sauce over the seafood and vegetable mixture, tossing gently to coat everything evenly.
    • Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the boil and garnish with chopped parsley.
  5. Serve & Enjoy:
    • Serve immediately with melted butter on the side for dipping.
