Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) sea scallops, cleaned and patted dry
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Lemon wedges, for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or oven-safe skillet.
- Prepare garlic butter: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, and half of the chopped parsley.
- Arrange scallops: Place the scallops in a single layer in the prepared baking dish. Season with salt and pepper. Pour the garlic butter mixture evenly over the scallops.
- Add cheese & paprika: Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese and paprika evenly over the top.
- Bake: Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the scallops are opaque and cooked through. If you’d like a golden top, broil for an extra 1-2 minutes at the end.
- Garnish & serve: Sprinkle with the remaining parsley and serve immediately with lemon wedges if desired.
