A decadent and easy-to-make appetizer that’s perfect for game day or any occasion. Juicy cheeseburgers wrapped in buttery, garlicky crescent rolls, topped with crispy bacon.
Ingredients:
- 1 package (8 count) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup yellow mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
Instructions:
- Prepare the Meat Mixture:
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef, onion, ketchup, mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until the beef is browned and crumbly. Drain off any excess grease.
- Assemble the Rollups:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Unroll the crescent roll dough into a rectangle.
- Spread the meat mixture evenly over the dough.
- Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon.
- Starting from the long side, tightly roll up the dough, jelly-roll style.
- Cut each roll into 8 pieces.
- Bake:
- Place the rollups on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Serve:
- Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce, such as marinara sauce or ranch dressing.
Tips:
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or a drizzle of hot sauce to the meat mixture.
- If you want to make these ahead of time, assemble the rollups and freeze them on a baking sheet. Once frozen, transfer them to an airtight container. To bake, thaw them completely and bake as directed.
- For a vegetarian option, substitute the ground beef with a plant-based meat alternative.
