Ingredients
- 3–4 fresh garlic cloves
- 4–5 whole cloves (the spice)
- 1 cup warm water (or warm milk, optional)
- 1 teaspoon honey (optional)
Instructions
- Peel the garlic cloves and crush them lightly with the flat side of a knife to release their natural oils.
- In a small pot, bring the warm water (or milk) to a gentle simmer.
- Add the crushed garlic and whole cloves to the pot. Let them steep for 5–10 minutes on low heat.
- Strain the mixture into a cup. If desired, stir in the honey to mellow the strong flavor.
- Sip the remedy warm, preferably before bedtime or first thing in the morning.
Tip: This traditional remedy is believed to help soothe colds, coughs, and boost immunity — just like grandma used to make!
