Fried Strawberry Cheesecake Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 8 slices white bread (soft, sandwich-style)
  • 4 oz (115g) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries (chopped) or strawberry jam
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 eggs (beaten)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (Panko or regular)
  • Oil, for frying
  • Extra powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  2. Spread the cream cheese mixture on one slice of bread. Top with chopped strawberries or a spoonful of strawberry jam. Place another slice of bread on top to make a sandwich.
  3. Press the edges firmly to seal. You can trim the crusts if you like for a cleaner look.
  4. Prepare three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs.
  5. Coat each sandwich in flour, then dip in egg, and finally coat well with breadcrumbs.
  6. Heat oil in a deep skillet or pan over medium heat. Fry sandwiches until golden brown and crispy, about 2–3 minutes per side.
  7. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Would you like me to also add a quick dipping sauce (like a strawberry glaze or chocolate sauce) to go with these?
