FRIED BOLOGNA SANDWICH

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bologna
  • 2 slices of bread (white or your choice)
  • 1 tablespoon butter (optional, for the bread)
  • 1 slice of cheddar cheese (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise or mustard (optional)
  • 1 egg (optional, for extra protein)
  • Pickles or lettuce (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Cut small slits on the edges of each bologna slice to prevent curling while frying.
  3. Place the bologna slices in the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until browned and crispy at the edges.
  4. If you like, toast the bread in the same skillet or spread butter on the bread and toast it separately.
  5. Spread mayonnaise or mustard on one side of each slice of bread if desired.
  6. Place the fried bologna on one slice of bread, top with cheese, egg, pickles, or lettuce if using.
  7. Close the sandwich with the other slice of bread.
  8. Slice in half and serve warm!
