Ingredients
- 4 slices of bologna
- 2 slices of bread (white or your choice)
- 1 tablespoon butter (optional, for the bread)
- 1 slice of cheddar cheese (optional)
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise or mustard (optional)
- 1 egg (optional, for extra protein)
- Pickles or lettuce (optional, for serving)
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Cut small slits on the edges of each bologna slice to prevent curling while frying.
- Place the bologna slices in the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until browned and crispy at the edges.
- If you like, toast the bread in the same skillet or spread butter on the bread and toast it separately.
- Spread mayonnaise or mustard on one side of each slice of bread if desired.
- Place the fried bologna on one slice of bread, top with cheese, egg, pickles, or lettuce if using.
- Close the sandwich with the other slice of bread.
- Slice in half and serve warm!
