Instructions
- In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- Add flour, salt, butter, and egg (if using). Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf or rolls. Place in a greased baking pan.
- Cover and let rise again for 30–40 minutes.
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
- Brush the top with melted butter for extra softness.
