- 1 cup warm milk (about 110°F/43°C)
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 packet (2¼ tsp) active dry yeast
- ⅓ cup vegetable oil (or melted butter)
- 2 large eggs
- 3½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions
- Prepare the Yeast:
- In a small bowl or in the blender, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast.
- Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- Blend Wet Ingredients:
- In the blender, add the yeast mixture, oil, and eggs.
- Blend for 30–60 seconds until well mixed.
- Add Dry Ingredients:
- Pour the liquid mixture into a large bowl.
- Gradually add flour and salt while mixing with a spoon or dough hook until a soft dough forms.
- Knead:
- Knead the dough by hand or mixer for about 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- First Rise:
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Shape the Rolls:
- Punch down the dough and divide into 12–16 equal pieces.
- Roll each into a smooth ball and place in a greased baking pan.
- Second Rise:
- Cover and let rise again for 30–40 minutes, or until puffy.
- Bake:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake rolls for 15–18 minutes or until golden brown.
- Optional:
- Brush warm rolls with melted butter for a glossy, soft top.
