Ingredients

  • 1 small head of cabbage, chopped
  • 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 lb smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth (optional, for extra moisture)

Instructions

  1. Sauté the sausage – In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sliced sausage until browned. Remove and set aside.
  2. Cook the shrimp – In the same skillet, add shrimp and cook for about 2 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
  3. Sauté the onions & garlic – Add olive oil or butter to the pan. Sauté onions and garlic until fragrant and slightly softened.
  4. Add the cabbage – Stir in the chopped cabbage, seasoning with smoked paprika, Cajun seasoning, black pepper, and salt. Stir-fry for 5–7 minutes. Add chicken broth if using.
  5. Combine everything – Return the sausage and shrimp to the skillet. Stir well and cook for another 2–3 minutes until heated through.
