Ingredients
- 1 small head of cabbage, chopped
- 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 lb smoked sausage, sliced
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
- 1/2 cup chicken broth (optional, for extra moisture)
Instructions
- Sauté the sausage – In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sliced sausage until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Cook the shrimp – In the same skillet, add shrimp and cook for about 2 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
- Sauté the onions & garlic – Add olive oil or butter to the pan. Sauté onions and garlic until fragrant and slightly softened.
- Add the cabbage – Stir in the chopped cabbage, seasoning with smoked paprika, Cajun seasoning, black pepper, and salt. Stir-fry for 5–7 minutes. Add chicken broth if using.
- Combine everything – Return the sausage and shrimp to the skillet. Stir well and cook for another 2–3 minutes until heated through.
- Serve & enjoy – Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve warm and enjoy!
