Ingredients:
- 1 lb sirloin steak (cut into bite-sized pieces)
- ½ lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 1 zucchini (sliced)
- 1 bell pepper (sliced, any color)
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- ½ red onion (sliced)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt (or to taste)
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp chili powder
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions:
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak pieces and season with salt, black pepper, paprika, and chili powder. Sear for 3-4 minutes per side until nicely browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil. Toss in the shrimp and season with a pinch of salt, red pepper flakes, and smoked paprika. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Remove from the skillet and set aside with the steak.
- Reduce the heat to medium and melt 2 tablespoons of butter in the skillet. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Toss in the zucchini, bell pepper, broccoli, and red onion. Sprinkle with onion powder and dried oregano. Stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are slightly tender but still have a crisp bite.
- Return the cooked steak and shrimp to the skillet, mixing everything well to combine the flavors. Stir in the remaining butter and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the dish for a burst of brightness.
- Cook for another 2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together. Adjust seasoning if needed.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot. Enjoy this delicious low-carb skillet meal on its own or with a side of cauliflower rice for an extra filling option.
