Ingredients

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard (optional)
  • ½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar, gruyère, or parmesan)
  • ½ cup cooked ham, bacon bits, or sun-dried tomatoes (optional)
  • Fresh herbs (thyme, rosemary, or parsley), chopped
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unfold the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Gently roll it out to smooth any folds.
  3. Brush a thin layer of Dijon mustard over the pastry (optional for extra flavor).
  4. Sprinkle evenly with shredded cheese, ham/bacon/tomatoes, and chopped herbs. Season lightly with salt & pepper.
