Especially for Lunch or Dinner

Ingredients

  • 175 ml boiling water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 350 g all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt.
    • Slowly pour in the boiling water while mixing with a spoon or spatula until a rough dough forms.
  2. Knead:
    • Once cool enough to handle, knead the dough on a floured surface for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  3. Rest:
    • Cover the dough with a damp cloth or plastic wrap and let it rest for 20–30 minutes. This makes it easier to roll out.
  4. Shape & Roll:
    • Divide the dough into equal portions (about 8–10 balls).
    • Roll each piece into a thin circle or rectangle, depending on your preferred shape.
  5. Cook (Optional Variations):
    • Pan-fry: Heat a lightly oiled skillet and cook each roll for 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown.
    • Bake: Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake rolls on a lined tray for 15–20 minutes.
    • Steam or fill with stuffing: Optionally, fill with your favorite savory or sweet filling before rolling and steam or fry.
