EGG BOIL

Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • Water (enough to cover eggs)
  • 1 tsp salt (optional)
  • Ice (for ice bath)

Instructions

  1. Place the eggs in a saucepan and cover them with cold water.
  2. Add a pinch of salt if desired (helps prevent cracking and makes peeling easier).
  3. Bring the water to a gentle boil over medium-high heat.
  4. Once boiling, reduce heat slightly and cook for:
    • 6–7 minutes for soft-boiled eggs
    • 9–12 minutes for hard-boiled eggs
  5. Prepare a bowl with ice water.
  6. When the eggs are done, transfer them immediately to the ice bath to stop cooking.
  7. Let them sit in the ice bath for at least 5 minutes, then peel and enjoy!
