Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Brown the meat: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef/lamb until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Sauté: Add onions and garlic to the meat, cooking until fragrant.
- Add veggies and sauce: Stir in peas, carrots, corn, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, beef broth, thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until thickened.
- Layer it up: Transfer the meat mixture to a baking dish. Spread mashed potatoes evenly on top.
- Add cheese & butter: Sprinkle cheese on top (optional) and brush with melted butter for a golden finish.
- Bake: Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the top is golden and bubbly.
