Ingredient
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 tbsp plain yogurt
- 2 tbsp olive oil (or melted butter)
- ½ cup warm milk (or water, as needed)
- Optional: garlic, butter, cilantro for topping
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
- Add yogurt and olive oil, then slowly pour in warm milk to form a soft dough.
- Knead the dough for about 5–7 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rest for 30 minutes.
- Divide into 6–8 equal balls.
- Roll each ball into an oval or round shape (not too thin).
- Heat a skillet or pan over medium-high heat. Cook naan for 1–2 minutes on one side until bubbles form, then flip and cook another 1–2 minutes.
- Brush with melted butter or garlic butter and garnish with fresh cilantro if desired.
Do you want me to also give you a no-yeast version (super quick, no resting needed) or keep it like this?
