Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons yeast
- 1 cup warm milk
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt.
- Add the yeast mixture and egg to the flour. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough, shape it into a loaf or rolls, and place it in a greased baking pan.
- Let it rise again for 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25–30 minutes or until golden brown.
