Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt.
  3. Add the yeast mixture and egg to the flour. Mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Punch down the dough, shape it into a loaf or rolls, and place it in a greased baking pan.
  7. Let it rise again for 30 minutes.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25–30 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
