Easter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup pastel M&M’s (Easter-themed)
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional)
  • Easter sprinkles (optional, for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter and sugars in a large bowl until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in vanilla.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips, M&M’s, and white chocolate chips (if using). Gently mix in sprinkles.
  6. Scoop dough using a tablespoon or cookie scoop onto the baking sheet, spacing about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 9–11 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden but centers are still soft.
  8. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
