Ingredients
- Black Tea – 2-3 tea bags (for darkening hair)
- Coffee – 2 tablespoons (enhances brown tones)
- Cocoa Powder – 1 tablespoon (adds depth and richness)
- Sage or Rosemary – 1 tablespoon (helps darken gray hair)
- Apple Cider Vinegar – 1 tablespoon (helps seal color)
- Coconut Oil or Olive Oil – 1 tablespoon (for shine and nourishment)
- Honey – 1 teaspoon (optional, for added moisture)
Instructions
- Brew the Tea & Coffee
- Boil 2 cups of water and steep the black tea and coffee for at least 20 minutes.
- Let it cool to room temperature.
- Prepare the Dye Mixture
- In a bowl, mix cocoa powder and sage (or rosemary).
- Add the brewed tea and coffee mixture gradually while stirring.
- Enhance & Condition
- Stir in coconut oil (or olive oil) and apple cider vinegar.
- Optionally, add honey for extra hydration.
- Apply the Dye
- Wash and towel-dry your hair.
- Apply the mixture evenly from roots to tips, focusing on gray or white strands.
- Leave it on for 1-2 hours (for deeper color, leave it longer).
- Rinse & Set the Color
- Rinse hair with cool water (no shampoo).
- Let hair air dry and repeat weekly for best results.
