- 1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey)
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 cups marinara sauce (low-carb, no added sugar)
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef (or turkey), egg, almond flour, Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until fully combined.
- Form the meat mixture into meatballs, about 1-inch in size, and place them in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Pour the marinara sauce evenly over the meatballs.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the meatballs and sauce.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the meatballs are fully cooked and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh basil, if desired, and serve hot.
