Dreamy Cream Cheese Chocolate Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 5 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup whole milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch bundt or loaf pan.
  2. Cream butter and cream cheese together in a large bowl until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Add sugar gradually and continue beating until light and airy.
  4. Incorporate eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  6. Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk to the wet mixture, starting and ending with dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 60-75 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
