Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Set your oven to the lowest temperature (around 140–170°F / 60–75°C) or use a dehydrator.
- Mash or Slice:
- For chewy strips: Slice the bananas into thin, even slices or strips.
- For fruit leather: Mash the bananas until smooth.
- Flavor (Optional): Mix in lemon juice, honey, or a dash of cinnamon if using.
- Spread:
- For fruit leather: Spread the banana puree evenly on a parchment-lined baking sheet (about 1/8-inch thick).
- For slices: Lay them out in a single layer.
- Dry Out:
- Place in the oven and let dry for 4–6 hours, flipping halfway through, until chewy and not sticky.
- Cool and Store: Let cool completely. Store in an airtight container at room temp or in the fridge for longer shelf life.
