Ingredients
- 1/2 cup fresh aloe vera gel (from 1–2 aloe vera leaves)
- 1/2 cup coconut oil (or use a mix of coconut and castor oil)
- 1 tablespoon fenugreek seeds (optional, for extra hair fall control)
- 5–10 curry leaves (optional, for added shine and nourishment)
- A few drops of essential oil (like rosemary or tea tree) – optional
Instructions
- Extract Aloe Vera Gel:
Cut open the aloe vera leaves and scoop out the fresh gel using a spoon. Blend it into a smooth consistency. - Prepare the Oil Base:
In a pan, add coconut oil (or a mix of coconut and castor oil) and heat it on low flame. - Add Aloe and Herbs:
Once the oil is warm, add the blended aloe vera gel. Stir continuously to avoid splattering.
Add fenugreek seeds and curry leaves if using. - Cook Gently:
Simmer on low heat for 10–15 minutes, stirring regularly. You’ll notice the mixture starting to change color and the aloe settling at the bottom. - Cool and Strain:
Turn off the heat and let the oil cool completely. Strain using a fine sieve or muslin cloth into a clean, dry glass bottle. - Add Essential Oil (Optional):
Once the oil is cool, you can add 5–10 drops of your preferred essential oil.
How to Use:
- Warm a small amount of oil before application.
- Massage into your scalp and hair roots thoroughly.
- Leave it on for at least 1 hour or overnight for deep nourishment.
- Wash off with a mild shampoo. Use 2–3 times a week for best results.
