Ingredients
- 500g chicken feet (cleaned and nails removed)
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 4 cloves garlic (crushed)
- 1 inch ginger (sliced)
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt (to taste)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce (optional)
- 1 tablespoon vinegar or lemon juice
- 6 cups water
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
Instructions
- Wash chicken feet thoroughly with water and vinegar or lemon juice.
- Boil them in water for 5 minutes, then drain and rinse again.
- Heat oil in a pot and sauté onion, garlic, and ginger until fragrant.
- Add chicken feet and stir for 2–3 minutes.
- Add bay leaves, black pepper, salt, and soy sauce.
- Pour in water and bring to a boil.
- Cover and simmer on low heat for 1½ to 2 hours until soft and gelatinous.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Serve hot as soup or use as broth for other dishes.
Tips
