Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional for added whitening and antibacterial effect)
- Fresh lemon juice (from ½ lemon)
- 1 teaspoon hydrogen peroxide (3% solution, optional — use with caution)
- Toothbrush
- Cup of warm water
Instructions
- Mix the paste: In a small bowl, combine the baking soda and sea salt. Add the coconut oil and a few drops of fresh lemon juice to form a paste. If using hydrogen peroxide, add it now (optional).
- Brush gently: Dip your toothbrush into the paste. Brush your teeth gently in small circular motions for about 2 minutes. Avoid scrubbing too hard to protect your enamel.
- Rinse: Rinse your mouth thoroughly with warm water.
- Repeat: Use this natural paste once or twice a week — not daily — to avoid damaging enamel.
- Maintain: For daily care, brush with regular fluoride toothpaste and floss to prevent tartar buildup.
✅ Note: Always check with your dentist before trying DIY whitening or tartar removal, especially if you have sensitive teeth or gum issues.
