- 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup (90g) powdered sugar
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 2 cups (240g) all-purpose flour
- ¼ tsp salt

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream the butter and powdered sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add the vanilla extract and mix until combined.
- Gradually add in the flour and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Flatten slightly with the bottom of a glass or press with a fork.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes or until the edges are just starting to turn golden.
- Let cookies cool on the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Optional: Once cooled, dip cookies in melted chocolate or fill with a bit of jam.
