- 1 egg (or 2 egg whites)
- 1 tablespoon zero-calorie sweetener (like Stevia, Monkfruit, or erythritol)
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- A dash of vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Optional toppings: fresh berries, fat-free whipped topping, or sugar-free chocolate chips (track if using)
Instructions
- In a microwave-safe mug, add the cocoa powder, baking powder, sweetener, and salt. Mix well.
- Stir in the applesauce, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and combined.
- Microwave on high for 60 to 90 seconds. (Check at 60 seconds to avoid overcooking; it should be just set in the center.)
- Let it cool slightly before adding any toppings if desired.
- Grab a spoon and dig in while it’s warm and fluffy!
