Delicious and guilt-free Zero Point Chocolate Mug Cake recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 egg (or 2 egg whites)
  • 1 tablespoon zero-calorie sweetener (like Stevia, Monkfruit, or erythritol)
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • A dash of vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional toppings: fresh berries, fat-free whipped topping, or sugar-free chocolate chips (track if using)

Instructions

  1. In a microwave-safe mug, add the cocoa powder, baking powder, sweetener, and salt. Mix well.
  2. Stir in the applesauce, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and combined.
  3. Microwave on high for 60 to 90 seconds. (Check at 60 seconds to avoid overcooking; it should be just set in the center.)
  4. Let it cool slightly before adding any toppings if desired.
  5. Grab a spoon and dig in while it’s warm and fluffy!

This treat is zero points on most WW (Weight Watchers) plans if you use 0-point ingredients (check your plan to be sure!).

Let me know if you’d like a flavored version (like peanut butter, mocha, or mint)!
