Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, whisk together the sugar, cornstarch, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the milk while whisking to avoid lumps.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
- Once thickened, remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and chopped chocolate. Continue stirring until the chocolate is completely melted and the custard is smooth.
- Pour the custard into serving cups or bowls.
- Let the custard cool slightly, then refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours to set.
