Instructions
- In a microwave-safe mug or small bowl, mix the flour, sugar, cocoa powder (if using), baking powder, and salt.
- Add the milk, oil, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth and well combined.
- If desired, fold in some chocolate chips or other toppings.
- Microwave on high for 1 minute to 1 minute and 15 seconds, depending on your microwave’s power. Check for doneness with a toothpick—it should come out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
- Let the cupcake cool for a minute or two before enjoying. You can top it with frosting, whipped cream, or additional toppings if desired.
