Ingredients:
- 2 to 3 pounds of pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)
- 1 cup barbecue sauce (your favorite brand or homemade)
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Ribs:
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor and tenderness. Pat the ribs dry with paper towels.
- Season the Ribs:
- In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper. Rub this spice mixture all over the ribs.
- Combine Sauce Ingredients:
- In another bowl, combine the barbecue sauce and apple cider vinegar. Stir until well mixed.
- Layer in the Crockpot:
- Place the ribs in the crockpot, standing them up if necessary. Pour the barbecue sauce mixture over the ribs, making sure they are well-coated.
- Cook the Ribs:
- Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, or on high for 3 to 4 hours. The ribs should be tender and pull apart easily.
- Serve:
- Once cooked, carefully remove the ribs from the crockpot and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve with extra barbecue sauce on the side.
Enjoy your delicious, tender crockpot barbecue ribs!
