Crispy mozzarella cheese roll

Ingredients

  • 8 mozzarella cheese sticks (string cheese)
  • 8 spring roll wrappers (or egg roll wrappers)
  • 1 egg (beaten, for sealing)
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko works best for extra crunch)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning (optional)
  • Salt & black pepper (to taste)
  • Oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Place one mozzarella stick at the edge of a spring roll wrapper. Roll tightly, folding in the sides. Seal the edge with beaten egg.
  2. Coat each roll lightly with flour, dip into beaten egg, then roll in breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Fry the cheese rolls until golden brown and crispy (about 2–3 minutes per side).
  4. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  5. Serve hot with marinara sauce or your favorite dip.
