INGREDENT
- 12 mozzarella string cheese sticks (cut into 3 pieces each)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs (beaten)
- 2 cups seasoned bread crumbs (or panko for extra crunch)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp paprika
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- Oil for frying
- Marinara sauce, for dipping
Instructions
- Prep the cheese – Cut mozzarella sticks into bite-sized pieces. Place them in the freezer for at least 30 minutes (this prevents melting too fast).
- Set up breading station – Place flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and bread crumbs mixed with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a third.
- Coat the bites – Dredge each cheese piece in flour, then egg, then bread crumbs. For extra crunch, dip back into egg and bread crumbs again.
- Freeze again – Place breaded cheese bites back in the freezer for 15–20 minutes.
- Fry until golden – Heat oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry bites for 1–2 minutes or until crispy and golden.
- Drain & serve – Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with marinara sauce for the ultimate cheese pull.
If you want, I can also give you an oven-baked or air fryer version so they’re less oily but still crunchy.
