Crispy Mozzarella Bites — Cheese Pulls Just Got Better

INGREDENT

  • 12 mozzarella string cheese sticks (cut into 3 pieces each)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs (beaten)
  • 2 cups seasoned bread crumbs (or panko for extra crunch)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • Marinara sauce, for dipping

Instructions

  1. Prep the cheese – Cut mozzarella sticks into bite-sized pieces. Place them in the freezer for at least 30 minutes (this prevents melting too fast).
  2. Set up breading station – Place flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and bread crumbs mixed with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a third.
  3. Coat the bites – Dredge each cheese piece in flour, then egg, then bread crumbs. For extra crunch, dip back into egg and bread crumbs again.
  4. Freeze again – Place breaded cheese bites back in the freezer for 15–20 minutes.
  5. Fry until golden – Heat oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry bites for 1–2 minutes or until crispy and golden.
  6. Drain & serve – Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with marinara sauce for the ultimate cheese pull.

If you want, I can also give you an oven-baked or air fryer version so they’re less oily but still crunchy.
