Crispy Ground Beef Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp paprika (optional)
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella), optional
  • 8–10 egg roll wrappers or spring roll wrappers
  • 1 egg (for sealing edges)
  • Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add onion and garlic to the skillet and sauté until translucent, about 3 minutes.
  3. Stir in soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce (if using), paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  4. Optional: Mix in shredded cheese once the beef has slightly cooled.
  5. Lay an egg roll wrapper on a flat surface. Place 2–3 tablespoons of beef mixture near one corner.
  6. Roll tightly, folding in the sides, and seal the final edge with a bit of beaten egg.
  7. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
  8. Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry the rolls in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3–4 minutes per batch.
  9. Drain on paper towels. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
