Crispy Fries Recipe

These crispy fries are golden on the outside, soft on the inside, and perfect for any occasion. Easy to make at home with a few simple ingredients, they’re sure to satisfy your cravings for that perfect fry!


Ingredients:

  • 4 large potatoes (Russet potatoes are ideal)
  • 2-3 cups vegetable oil (for frying)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Optional: seasoning like paprika, garlic powder, or black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Potatoes:
    • Peel the potatoes (optional) and cut them into even-sized strips for uniform frying.
    • Soak the potato strips in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch. This helps them get crispier during frying.
  2. Dry the Potatoes:
    • After soaking, drain and thoroughly pat dry the potato strips using paper towels.
  3. First Fry (Blanching):
    • Heat the oil in a deep pot or fryer to 325°F (160°C).
    • Fry the potatoes in batches for 3-4 minutes, until they start to soften but don’t turn golden yet. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  4. Second Fry (Crisping):
    • Increase the oil temperature to 375°F (190°C).
    • Fry the potatoes again in batches for 2-3 minutes or until they turn golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  5. Season and Serve:
    • While the fries are still hot, sprinkle with salt and your preferred seasonings.
    • Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauces. Enjoy!
