These crispy chicken strips are a delightful blend of crunch and flavor, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a fun snack. Coated in a seasoned breadcrumb mixture, they bake up golden and crispy, making them a healthier alternative to fried chicken. Serve them with your favorite dipping sauce for a satisfying meal!
Ingredients:
- 1 lb chicken breasts, cut into strips
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Cooking spray or olive oil for baking
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a shallow dish, place the flour. In another shallow dish, whisk the eggs. In a third shallow dish, combine the breadcrumbs, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Dredge each chicken strip first in the flour, shaking off any excess. Then dip it into the egg mixture, allowing the excess to drip off, and finally coat it in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- Place the coated chicken strips on the prepared baking sheet. Spray or drizzle with a little olive oil to help them crisp up.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/74°C).
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce!
