Crispy Cheese Potato Bites Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 medium potatoes (boiled and mashed)
  • 1 cup cheddar or mozzarella cheese (grated)
  • 2 tbsp cornflour (or all-purpose flour)
  • 1 tbsp fresh coriander (chopped)
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • ½ tsp black pepper powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 egg (beaten) or 2 tbsp milk (for coating)
  • Oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, add boiled mashed potatoes, cheese, cornflour, coriander, chili flakes, pepper, garlic powder, and salt. Mix well until combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into small bite-sized balls or patties.
  3. Dip each ball in the beaten egg (or milk) and then coat with bread crumbs.
  4. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the bites until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
  5. Remove and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  6. Serve hot with ketchup, garlic mayo, or your favorite dipping sauce.
