Ingredients
- 3 medium potatoes (boiled and mashed)
- 1 cup cheddar or mozzarella cheese (grated)
- 2 tbsp cornflour (or all-purpose flour)
- 1 tbsp fresh coriander (chopped)
- 1 tsp chili flakes
- ½ tsp black pepper powder
- ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
- Salt to taste
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1 egg (beaten) or 2 tbsp milk (for coating)
- Oil (for frying)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, add boiled mashed potatoes, cheese, cornflour, coriander, chili flakes, pepper, garlic powder, and salt. Mix well until combined.
- Shape the mixture into small bite-sized balls or patties.
- Dip each ball in the beaten egg (or milk) and then coat with bread crumbs.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the bites until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
- Remove and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- Serve hot with ketchup, garlic mayo, or your favorite dipping sauce.
